Abhi to blog shuru kiya hai!
I am penning down an overview of the plan to get you going. By the time I "design" and "write down" the detailed plan, refer to this (and follow for more!):
1) Start With a Diagnostic Test
This gives you a baseline, not a judgment.
Even if you score low, it means nothing — GRE is concept-based, not memory-based.
2) Build Your Study Routine (Flexible for All Durations)
Use a simple structure instead of a strict timeline:
-
Weekdays: 1–2 focused study blocks
-
Weekends: 2–3 flexible blocks
-
Focus on:
✔️ Quant concepts
✔️ Verbal (vocab + reading)
✔️ Logical reasoning thinking
3) Vocabulary Strategy
Learn 10 new words/day — distributed across your day.
Use Word Power Made Easy because it helps through roots → faster recall.
4) Start Administrative Work Early
Begin transcript request ASAP.
Every university takes time, so start this in parallel.
5) Introduce Mocks Gradually
As soon as you feel consistent for ~1–2 weeks:
-
Add 1 mock per week (any duration of plan)
Mocks build confidence, not pressure.
6) Revision Strategy
From the 10th day of prep (regardless of total duration), start:
-
30–45 min daily revision
Cheat sheets help here.
7) Add Timed Sections Later
Once basics feel stable, introduce:
-
Timed quant drills
-
Timed verbal drills
-
Logical reasoning
-
Reading comprehension speed building
8) Parallel: SOP + LOR Drafting
Once comfortable with prep flow, start:
-
SOP skeleton
-
LOR skeleton
9) Near Exam Phase
When you feel your target exam window is approaching:
-
Daily section drills
-
2 mocks per exam cycle
-
Fix weak areas through targeted revision
This overview fits ANY timeline — 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, or a full year.
